Biography

Back in Italy in 1994, he began his own personal artistic research that still continues and includes different techniques and styles.

In recent years, he has participated as a volunteer in artistic workshops for handicapped persons, organized by ANFASS and held drawing courses for the City of Venice.

He graduated from Cà Foscari in Literature in 1987, cum laude, and immediately started teaching in middle school; in 1990 he was vice-principal and taught literary subjects at the Italian School of Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia and at Al Jubail will exhibit his works, creating a newspaper for the Italian community illustrated with his drawings.

1962

Marino Marinoni was born in Venice in 1962. As a child he approached the world of art.

At the age of twelve he met the artist Pietro Barbieri, became a pupil of his and obtained his first artistic recognition by participating in exhibitions and painting contests, getting his first prize at an extempore organized in Mestre in 1975.

1976/81

During his high school years, he began working in theater as a stagehand, mime and choreographer, creating his own personal choreography for the Venice Carnival with the set designer Giulia Mafai (creator and curator of the Venice Carnival Laboratory from 1978 to 1985) and then for shows by Tonino Micheluzzi of the company "La barca dei comici" and other theater company leaders.

In the university period he carries on his expressive research and is fascinated by photography. As a photographer, his pictures will be published by "Il Gazzettino", "L'Espresso", "Panorama", "Vogue", "La Gazzetta di Venezia", "La Nuova Venezia" and many other publications. He would have the opportunity of being part of various artistic groups, exposing his works on several occasions in Venice.

He exhibited and participated in the following events:

 

-Extempore of painting Bissuola-Mestre, 1975, special prize of the President Jury;

-Extempore of painting, City of Noale, awarded;

-2nd National extempore painting contest Crocetta del Montello;

-Città do Scorzè painting competition, awarded in 1976;

-Belluno, 2nd National painting contest "Villa Sandi-Zasso", 1976, Marco and Sebastiano Ricci Award;

-Competition of painting Città di Piove di Sacco, 1977, awarded;

-National Competition of the City of Agna GB Award. Cromer;

-Extempore of painting, City of Noale, awarded;

-National Competition for the 1977 "Primavera" Art Festival, awarded;

-Arte Città di Zelarino Competition, reported;

-National Competition City of Mira "From the young to the young", 1977, awarded;

-1st National Competition of the mini-square City of Vittorio Veneto, 1977, awarded;

-2nd National Competition of the mini-square City of Vittorio Veneto, 1978, awarded and purchased;

-The Bormio County Award Dino Buzzati, awarded;

 ...These early experiences were followed by many others, including the participation in various collectives.

Let me just provide a list from the last few years, trying not to bore the reader:

- Belluno, Palazzo Crepadona, May 2017, exhibition: Worlds, by invitation;

- 57th Venice Art Biennale 2017, Pavilion of the Republic of San Marino, exhibition of one of his works, Palazzo Giustinian Recanati (Basadonna) Venice;

- Student Coordinator of the project to reproduce sketches by A. Del Sarto performed by the Venice Artistic High School (Prof. Resi Girardello) for the exhibition "Venice Secrets" in Venice; and creator of 2 works on display, 31 March - 14 October 2018;

- Painting Competition City of Venice, Burano Prize "Invitation to Color", September 2018 Burano;

- Renato Nardi National Painting Award City of Venice, Giudecca Island, September 2018.

- Personal exhibition, Santa Croce, Venice, From 28 September to 28 October 2019;

- Final exhibition of artistic residency: Spazio Vuoto, Mestre / Venice, from 3 to 10 October 2020;

- Open Wunderkammer 4, collective exhibition at the Visioni Altre Gallery, Cannaregio, Venice from 1 December 2020 to 15 January 2021;

- Winter Prize 2021 edition, collective exhibition, Mestre / Venice, from 22 February to 6 March 2021.
